PROFILE

Risa Tanaka served as editor-in-chief and executive vice president of the marketing magazine "Advertising Conference". In 2016, she was named president of The Institute for Advanced Education, which conducts research and human resource development for new business creation and regional revitalization. After being appointed as president of the Graduate School of Business Design, she became responsible for research and human resource development in new business creation and for regional branding activities. She is currently engaged in project research through industry-government-academia collaborations throughout Japan.

Ms. Tanaka was involved in naming the Ministry of the Environment’s "Cool Biz" as well as designs of the Tokyo 2020 emblem and the G7 and G20 Summit logos. She also won the 53rd Best Dressed Award (Culture and Academic Category). She serves as the Executive Vice President of Mie University and is a member of the Council on Fiscal Systems, the Council on Social Capital Development, and the Central Environment Council.
