Akihiko Shirahata serves as President of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Japan since Nov 2024.
He started his professional career at Nissho Iwai Corporation (Sojitz today), and assumed several leadership roles in Japan as well as Asia Pacific in General Electric and Schneider Electric, where he served as Japan Country President most recently until assuming current role. He graduated Keio university and holds MBA from Bond University, Australia.
