Tamao Sasada is Bank of America Japan Country Executive, President and Representative Director for BofA Securities Japan since 2019. She has led its investment banking business over the years, and now as Country Executive she focusses on the execution and development of the Bank’s strategy, business activities and governance.

Tamao is a member of APAC Executive Committee. She also serves as a member of Global Opportunity & Inclusion Council (O&I) for Bank of America and Co-chairs of APAC O&I Council.

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Tamao worked at Legal Department of Itochu Corporation and also worked in New York as a corporate lawyer at Skadden Arps and Milbank Tweed.

She serves strategy committee member for Japan Securities Dealers Association and supports its sustainable finance initiatives. Executive Committee Member at International Banking Association in Japan as well as Japan Society in New York.
