Yasu Higuchi graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Osaka. In 1980, he joined Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (now Panasonic Corporation). After receiving an MBA at Harvard Business School, he joined the Boston Consulting Group in 1992. He also worked at Apple and Compaq Japan before being named president of Hewlett-Packard in 2003. In 2005, he was named president of Daiei where he was responsible for the company's management restructuring. In 2007, Mr. Higuchi moved to Microsoft Japan as vice president of the U.S. headquarters and president and chairman of the Japan corporation. In 2017, he became the senior managing executive officer of Panasonic and president of Connected Solutions, Inc. In April 2022, he was named CEO following the transition to a holding company structure.
