Asako Aoyama currently serves as Corporate Senior Vice President, Head of FP&A and Global Finance at NEC. In this role, she leads the NEC Group’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organizations and is focused on strengthening business partnership to maximize enterprise value through strategic decision-making. Prior to joining NEC, she started her career at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu as a CPA, followed by MBA and Merrill Lynch Japan. In 2004, she joined Coca-Cola (Japan) Company, and in 2011 she became the first Japanese female named to the board of directors in the history of Coca-Cola in Japan and served as CFO at Tokyo Coca-Cola Bottling Company (currently Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan)
She is also a candidate for Non-executive director at Suzuki Motor Corporation and served as a member of the Corporate Transformation Study Group by METI.
