PROFILE
Hiroko Nomura was born in 1962. She graduated from the Faculty of Literature and Education, Ochanomizu University in1984. After working as editor-in-chief of Nikkei WOMAN published by Nikkei Home Publishing Co., Ltd. (currently Nikkei BP), editor-in-chief of Nikkei EW, Japan's first magazine for female leaders, editorial board member of Japan Keizai Shimbun, and professor at Shukutoku University, she became a special guest professor at Tokyo Kasei Gakuin University in 2020 and president of the Japan Women's Learning Foundation in 2024. She has served as a member of various national and local governments, including the Ministry of Finance's Fiscal System Council, the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry's Nadeshiko Brand Standards Review Committee, and the Kanagawa Prefecture Gender Equality Council. She is the author of "Women's Careers in Local Areas: Learning from Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Leaders," "Fusae Ichikawa and the Long Lines That Continue from It: From Suffrage to Gender Equality," "Dialogues with Different People: Serious Diversity Management," and "When Women Leaders Are Born."
