Motivation for Attending the 15th Conference

Most of participant’s motivation is to meet new people and learn together

 

Average Age

The average age of the participants is 39.96. Main age group was 30s. The range of participants' age was from teens to 80s.

 

Gender

Women comprised 95.32% of the participants while men 4.04% (among valid responses). Some male participants attended with their wives or daughters.

 

Work

70.8% of participants work for corporations, 6.5% are CEOs, 4.2% are freelancers and business owners, 2.31% are temporary staff and 0.84% are part timers. Students comprise 0.42% of the total participants.

 

Average Annual Income

The average annual income is 7.263 million yen.

Company managers/owners: 9.20 million yen
Office workers: 7.03 million yen
Freelancers and business owners: 4.50 million yen
Temporary staff: 3.86 million yen
Part timers: 1.50 million yen

 

Corporations

23.4% of all participants work for foreign-owned corporations while about 77% corporate employees work for Japanese companies.

 

Sizes of Companies

73.95% work for companies with more than 100 employees while 45.91% work for companies with more than 1000 employees.

 

Position in Management

38.13% percent of all participants have job titles, including positions in management. 45.08% percent report that they have subordinates reporting to them. These numbers indicate that a significant portion of participants holds management positions.

 

Career Objectives

47.62% are eager to move up the corporate ladder and take on more responsibility. Meanwhile, 22.94% say they would like to change their way of working, or careers. 10.17% say they would like to work as freelancers, while 9.52% say they plan to start their own business in the future.

 

Ratio of Married to Single Women / Children

45.36% married, and 33.12% of the participants have a child/children.

 

Educational Background

60.90% have a four-year university degree, and 16.45% of all the participants have advanced degrees or higher.

 

Residency

Although 74.19% of them live in the greater Tokyo metropolitan area, the participants came from all over Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
