Atsumi Watanabe
Chief Editor, Nikkei Trendy, Nikkei Business Publications
Ms. Watanabe was born in 1962 in Hiroshima prefecture and graduated the School of Letters, Arts and Sciences at Waseda University. After working at Parco, she joined Nikkei Home Publishing (now Nikkei BP) in 1989 and was involved in the launch of the monthly publication "Nikkei Anthropos" for businessmen. She joined the editorial department for "Nikkei Woman" from 1996. After working as deputy editor, Ms. Watanabe transferred to the editorial department of "Nikkei Trendy" and became deputy editor in 2000. In 2008, she was appointed chief editor. She is responsible for the annual "Top 30 Hit Products" and "Hit Forecast Ranking" features.
