Kumi Fujisawa

After graduating from college, Ms. Fujisawa went to work for Japanese and foreign investment fund management companies. In 1996, she founded the first investment trust evaluation company in Japan and sold it to the global rating company Standard & Poor's in 1999. In 2000, she took part in the establishment of the think tank SophiaBank and is currently its vice president.
During her three years as broadcaster for "21st Century Business Class" on the NHK Educational channel, she covered numerous small and medium companies and ventures. She has covered more than 700 companies for TV, radio, and magazines, and continues to cover dynamic companies and their owners around the country for media such as her Internet radio program "Kumi Fujisawa's Shacho-Talk (dialogue with CEOs)." She also has been teaching investment management for individuals for many years and sharing her knowledge of investment, entrepreneurship, economy, and management through books, magazines, TV/radio, and lectures.

Ms. Fujisawa also serves as member of the Financial System Council, as well as research committee member for the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. She was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and works with leaders from around the world to address global issues.
