Yukari Carrie Akiyama

Director, Strategic Planning and Business Development,

Ms. Akiyama joined GE Japan as Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development in April 2008. Her main responsibilities are leading business development in industrial and technology areas and strategic transactions for GE's further growth in Japan.
Prior to joining GE, she led the Corporate Strategy Division of SAP-Japan. In addition, she has consultancies experiences at Price Waterhouse Coopers and the Boston Consulting Group, handled a wide range of client companies in the areas of IT, healthcare, energy, and entertainment industries.
Ms. Akiyama holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Statistics from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA, and a M.E. in Information Processing from Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. She is a DBA candidate of The Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi University. She has received "Outstanding Young Scientist Award" from the Nobel Foundation and the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago. ewoman Roundtable Discussion chair.
