As in charge of sustainability over the entire Nomura Group, Ms. Sonobe has been taking major roles in various sustainable actions; sustainability strategies, non-financial information disclosure and external evaluations, financial and economic education, donation and volunteer activities, and diversity and inclusion.
Ms. Sonobe promotes sustainable initiatives as a group-wide strategy based on the management vision of “Achieve sustainable growth by helping solve social issues” announced in 2020.
Joined Nomura Securities in 1991. After working as a sales representative at 5 branches, she worked in the Human Resources Department and the Diversity & Inclusion Department, and assumed her current position in 2019.
