PROFILE
Makiko Eda became the Chief Representative Officer of World Economic Forum Japan in April 2018, where she demonstrates leadership in orchestrating platform for private-public cooperation and supporting further enhancement of Japan’s presence in the global platform. Prior to joining the international organization, Ms.Eda held a number of leadership positions in marketing and sales at U.S. semiconductor company, Intel. Within Intel, she assumed several roles in upper management, was appointed as general manager of Marketing Headquarters, responsible for brand strategy, sales promotion planning, market research, and Internet marketing. In 2010, she became responsible for Intel’s marketing activities in the Asia-Pacific region as Director of Marketing and Consumer Sales, based in Hong Kong. In October 2013, she was appointed as President and Representative Director of Intel Japan K.K., where she worked until March 2018. Ms.Eda has also been serving on the committee for the promotion of regulatory reform by the Japanese government from 2016.
