PROFILE

Haruno Yoshida was appointed as President and Representative Director at BT Japan in January 2012. With extensive experience as a top salesman and a working mother in the male-dominated communications industry over twenty plus years, Haruno has worked for five ICT companies – both western and Japanese - in four countries. She brings unique experience and global perspective.
In June 2015, Haruno was appointed as the first female Vice Chairman of the Board of Councillors for Keidanren. In September 2016, Haruno was appointed as a member of the Council for Regulatory Reform - an advisory committee established within the Cabinet Office to advise on policy and social structural reforms from an economic perspective.
Taking a leadership role to promote diversity & inclusion at the workplace, Haruno regularly advocates to increase productivity through the use of technology, and has attracted attention as a new role model for the working women in Japan.
In 2017, she was chosen as only one Japanese of the World’s Greatest Leaders 50 by Fortune. Haruno graduated from Keio University with a bachelor’s degree in human science.
