International Conference for Women in Business

The International Conference for Women in Business is an event designed to provide working women with a) knowledge and skills they need to succeed as professionals in today's business scene, b) a forum for positive exchanges among peers who share a strong determination to succeed, and c) stimulating opportunities from international perspectives d) an avenue of mutual support. The Committee for the International Conference for Women in Business organizes the conference each year to support a growing number of influential women in business. As a business conference for women with international objectives, the conference for seven years has been one of the most influential events of its kind in the country.

The conference consists of three parts: The keynote address and feature speeches are presented in the morning followed by the hotel course lunch served while participants network at round tables. The afternoon is spent in a variety of workshops. A buffet-style reception in the evening provides a further chance to see old friends and make new connections. Simultaneous interpretation is available for the morning speeches only.

Over 800 corporate managers, entrepreneurs, business owners and freelancers are expected to spend a day of learning and discussing ideas, networking, and ultimately developing new business opportunities. We also welcome men to join the Conference.

This Year's Conference

"Global Literacy: Expanding Your Worldview"

"Global literacy" is defined as the capability to communicate with anyone, regardless of their culture or citizenship. Of course, this requires language capability, presentation skills, and the ability to understand others. But perhaps most of all, true "global literacy" requires the ability to change one's own frame of mind, to step out of a familiar but confining mindset and to respond to events and people from a multifaceted and flexible perspective. Put another way, we must expand our own individual worldview.

This year's Conference will focus on a variety of topics that will help us to begin to create a new worldview. Our hope is that the Conference participants will utilize this new knowledge inside and outside of the office.
