Miyako Yokoyama

Corporate training instructor/industrial counselor

Ms. Yokoyama was born in Fukushima prefecture in 1965. She joined a major travel agency, where she handled group travel arrangements and was secretary to the branch office manager. She learned about customer satisfaction, handling of complaints, and general customer service, and served as in-house instructor.
She went on to work as an executive secretary at an educational institution and later became a communication training instructor. Now utilizing her certification as an industrial counselor, her focus is on training courses for "interpersonal relations in the organization" based on stress psychology. Her training courses convey complex theories with simple language and examples that are easy to understand.
Her main training themes include mental health training, stress management training, OJT trainer cultivation training, mentor cultivation training, methods for supervisors to reprimand and praise, and assertion training.
Ms. Yokoyama is certified as an industrial counselor, career counselor, psychology counselor, and Class 1 secretary. Her books include "Buka no 'Utsu" wo Subayaku Mitukeru Hon" (A Book for Quickly Identifying Your Subordinate"s Depression) from Chukei Publishing, "Korede Gokaku! Hisho Kentei 2-kyu, 3-kyu" (You'll pass with this! Secretary Certification Class 2 and 3) from Takahashi Shoten, and three other titles.
