Reiko Akiike
Partner & Managing Director, The Boston Consulting Group
Ms. Akiike graduated from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Waseda University and earned a Master's degree from its Graduate School. She also earned a M.S. degree from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
After working at Kirin Brewery and McKinsey & Company, she joined the Industrial Revitalization Corporation of Japan (IRCJ) in 2003, where she was involved in business turnaround projects. During this time, she also served as Director of Kyushu Sanko, external board member of Kanebo Cosmetics, and Director of Kanto Jidosya.
She has been in her current position since November 2006. She engaged in strategy development, strategy implementation, change management, post-merger integration, and business turnaround, for clients in manufacturing, high tech, and infrastructure industries. She has also served on many government committees.
