Nozomu Makabe

Ms. Makabe was born in Yokohama, Japan, and graduated from Sophia University. She entered Suntory Limited in 1988, where she worked as a secretary to the directors and in the wine division. She was transferred to Haagen-Dazs Japan, Inc. in 1997 where she was appointed product planning manager, and became new products development manager in 1999. In 2002, she returned to Suntory, where she was in charge of marketing liquors in the imported alcohol division. She left Suntory in 2003, and joined Sumitomo 3M, where she became the marketing manager of the DIY products division. She assumed her current position in January 2006.
