International Conference for Women in Business

The International Conference for Women in Business is an event designed to provide working women with a) knowledge and skills they need to succeed as professionals in today's business scene, b) a forum for positive exchanges among peers who share a strong determination to succeed, and c) stimulating opportunities from international perspectives, and d) an avenue of mutual support. The Committee for the International Conference for Women in Business organizes the conference each year to support a growing number of influential women in business. As a business conference for women with international objectives, the conference for ten years has been one of the most influential events of its kind in the country.

The conference consists of three parts: The keynote address and feature speeches are presented in the morning followed by the hotel course lunch served while participants network at round tables. The afternoon is spent in a variety of workshops. A buffet-style reception in the evening provides a further chance to see old friends and make new connections. Simultaneous interpretation is available for the morning speeches only.

Over 1000 corporate managers, entrepreneurs, business owners and freelancers are expected to spend a day of learning and discussing ideas, networking, and ultimately developing new business opportunities. We also welcome men to join the Conference.

This Year's Conference

"Careers and Class: For a more Powerful You"

Having completed its first decade, the "International Conference for Women in Business" is ready to embark on its second stage. In this, the first year of our new decade, we have returned to our roots, gone back to basics and reworked our program. We want this to be a day when we, as people who continue to work and contribute to society, are able to see the limitless possibilities before us and gain positive energy and as we bring ourselves to new levels of achievement and excellence.

"Careers and Class: For a More Powerful You" is our theme for the conference; it is simple, direct and so very necessary. This is an opportunity to take stock of our careers, of our achievements, of how we present ourselves and, like the conference, move forward into a new stage. The date is July 15, 2006. We look forward to meeting with like-minded people from around Japan and from many other countries as we share our enthusiasm, our passion and our drive.

Because space is limited we recommend that you apply early.  We look forward to seeing you on July 15.

Kaori Sasaki, Chair
Committee for the International Conference for Women in Business
