1961 Born in Tokyo.
1984 Graduated from Faculty of Letters, Department of Sociology, Keio University.
1984-2001 Worked for the companies including Sumitomo Corporation, IBM and Lehman Brothers.
2002 Started her professional writing works.
2008 Published a book “The Era of KONKATSU (Marriage Hunting Era)”, co-authored with Masahiro Yamaguchi, Professor of Sociology at Chuo University, which has sold 200,000 copies.
2002 - Present Has been writing about women’s issue especially to suggest the balanced lifestyle for women’s birthing and work.
2015 Served as a member of Cabinet Secretariat’s ”The National Council for Promoting the Dynamic Engagement of All Citizens”.
2016 Served as a member of Cabinet Office Gender Equality Bureau’s "Expert Panel on Priority Policies".
2016 Served as a member of Cabinet Secretariat’s "The Council for the Realization of Work Style Reform".
2020 An outside director of Sanwa company corporation.
