PROFILE

Ikuyo Kaneko

Professor and Dean of Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University

Mr. Kaneko graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Keio University and went on to earn a Ph.D. at Stanford University.
After a stint as Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin and professor at Hitotsubashi University, he took on his current position. From 1999 through 2002, he also worked as schoolmaster of Keio Yochisha Elementary School. His specialty is information organization, networking, and community theories.
He has written several books, including "Volunteers" and "Community Solution" (joint authorship). His most recent book is "Nihonde Ichiban II Gakko (The Best School in Japan: Community Partnership Innovation)."
