Emiko Magoshi

Professor, Faculty of Economics and Management, J.F. Oberlin University
Visiting Professor, Tsukuba University
Chairperson, Intercultural and Management Studies Conference

After graduating from Sophia University, Ms. Magoshi attended the Graduate School of Keio University and earned a Master's degree in Economics and a Ph.D. on Theory of Intercultural Management. She is also known by her fans as "Emirin Sensei", her character's name on the NHK radio show.

Ms. Magoshi is also the chairperson of Aviation Management Studies of J.F. Oberlin University, a member of the Tokyo Governmental Committee for Labor, director of International Business Research Studies, director of the Japan Management and Theoretical Studies, director of Japan AFS Association, and a member of the Committee for International Education Development. She is also a board member of Japan-America Association, the Strategy and Management Association, and the Committee for Management Related Research Studies. She also gives speeches extensively. Most recently, she has been challenging herself in English Rakugo (Japanese traditional comedy) as "Emirin".

Ms. Magoshi's publications include "Development of Intercultural Management Theory" (2000, Gakubunsha), "Basic Mind of Management Studies" (2000, Shinhyoron), (2003, DHC), "NHK Radio Business English, Basic Edition of Saturday Salon Best Selection" (2004, DHC), "NHK Radio English Lesson for Clever People, First English Newspaper" (2007, DHC).
