Waichi Sekiguchi

Mr. Sekiguchi entered Nihon Keizai Shimbun Inc., upon graduating from Hitotsubashi University Law School in 1982. In 1988, he studied at Harvard University in US as a visiting Fulbright Research Scholar. After working as an English writer for Nihon Keizai Shimbun, he was a correspondent in Washington from 1990 to 1994. He has been an editor of the Business News Department since 1996 and became an editorial writer in 2000, focusing on information and telecommunications. He is a member of the copyright council of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, a visiting professor at the Hosei University Graduate School, and a part-time instructor at Waseda University and Meiji University. He wrote "Pioneers of the PC Revolution" (published by Nihon Keizai Shimbun), and co-authored "Cyber Space Revolution," "Cyber Business Frontline" (both published by Nihon Keizai Shimbun), and "Modern Times 2001" (published by Nikkei Business and Publications.) He also wrote "Problems of Intellectual Property Rights in US and Japan" (Harvard University).
