Sonja Vodusek

General Manager of The Peninsula Tokyo
Sonja Vodusek was born in Australia. She earned a diploma in hotel management from Blue Mountain International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) in Sydney. As part of her diploma requirement for BMIHMS, she had a six-month internship as a room attendant at the Sheraton Grande in Tokyo. She went on to earn a diploma in business management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Upon graduation, Ms. Vodusek had 16 years of experience working in a number of luxury hotels, including hotels in Prague, Washington D.C., Tokyo, and Sydney. In 2010, she joined The Peninsula New York as hotel manager, playing a significant role in establishing The Peninsula’s status in the United States. In 2011, she became the general manager of The Peninsula Manila, where she promoted business planning.

In 2015, Ms. Vodusek was named general manager of The Peninsula Tokyo. She is the first female to hold the title of general manager in a luxury hotel in Tokyo.
