The International Conference for Women in Business is open to positive and highly motivated people, regardless of occupation, age, gender, or nationality.
Men are, of course, also welcome to participate, as are high school and university students, those on maternity or childcare leave, and those on leave from work.
More than half of the participants each year are first-timers or attending on their own, (not sponsored by their companies). The overall satisfaction rate of the previous 22 Conferences has exceeded 98%.

There are several ways to register. You can apply for yourself, apply as part of a group of friends or colleagues, or apply to be a Matching Sponsor to support a student. Some students pay their own fee or are selected to receive support from a Matching Sponsor. If your company wants to send participants as part of its education program, it can ask to be a Partner Company with a booth as well.

We also provide a Matching Sponsor opportunity; individuals can sponsor the attendance of high school and university students.

The individual registration fees include access to the entire program on the day, as follows:

  • For those who register on or after Tuesday, July 17, the hotel’s special course lunch (seated) may not be served and a different menu will be prepared at a separate table.
  • Registration will close once the maximum number of participants has been reached.
  • Photos and videos of the Conference may be used for websites and reports.
  • Once paid, the registration fee cannot be refunded for any reason. The program and speakers may change for reasons beyond our control. Please note that, regardless of such changes, registration fees cannot be refunded.

Group Registration

For those who want to pay registration fees for two or more participants at the same time, Group Registration is convenient.
Please register the name of the representative for the group, the number of attendees, and other information.

  • 1) After the remittance is confirmed, registration forms for the number of attendees will be emailed to the group representative.
  • 2) Each attendee should then be asked to register their own details via this form. As participants must input their own information, including whether simultaneous interpretation is necessary or not and the selection of Roundtable Discussions, it is imperative that each participant complete this part of the registration by themselves.
  • 3) After the registration, the email of your Participation Pass with the QR code will be sent to you. Please keep the email of the Participation Pass with QR code safe since it will not be sent again.

Support High School & University Students : Matching Sponsor

This Program was originally established to provide persons from areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 with the opportunity to attend the Conference. The Matching Sponsor fees shown below include full access to the entire Conference program for the Sponsor and one additional person being sponsored.
The Sponsor and the Sponsy (sponsored student) are provided with reserved seating next to each other in the main venue in order to get to know each other and learn from each other. As of this year, sponsorship will be given to high school or university students of either gender from anywhere in the world. Every year we have a number of professional women and men step forward to provide sponsorship via this program.

Matching Sponsors will be invited to a post-Conference event to be held after the Conference. This post-Conference event is only open to speakers, partner companies, and Matching Sponsors.

If you want to support high school or university students who wish to learn at the Conference, please register as a Matching Sponsor. A Participant can sponsor as many students as they like.

Receive Sponsorship:Matching Sponsy High School & University Students

The International Conference for Women in Business is open to all who are positive and highly motivated, and many high school and university students have participated in the past.
Some participate with parents or participate with parental support, and others save their allowance for the participation fee or apply to receive support from a Matching Sponsor.

Individual Participation

While participating by oneself is recommended, there is an opportunity to participate by receiving support from a Matching Sponsor. Each recipient can only receive one sponsorship for use in the 7 years from 10th grade to senior year at university.

As of 2018, sponsorship has been expanded to high school or university students of either gender from anywhere in the world. Students with high motivation, who want to attend the Conference but do not have the financial means to do so, should read the following conditions carefully and then apply to be matched with a sponsor. The sponsor is a Conference participant who pays the participation fees for two; himself or herself and one student. Those selected will be seated next to their sponsor during the Plenary Session of the Conference to personally thank their sponsor and get to know them.

Eligibility
  • ・High school and university students under 22 years of age from Japan or overseas, regardless of nationality, gender, or residence.
  • ・As this program is based on support provided by individual Conference participants, please make sure that you are able to attend the Conference on July 22, 2018 from 8:45 am to 8:00 pm.
  • There is no support for transportation or accommodation, so please make your own arrangements for both prior to submitting an application.
Application method & conditions
  • ・One condition of receiving sponsorship is that an applicant write a pre-Conference and post-Conference essay.
  • ・Please write a 400-word essay on the application form describing your reasons for wanting to participate by 8:00am, Friday, June 15, 2018 (JST).
  • ・The Conference Secretariat will select students after reviewing the essays. Please note that not all applicants will receive an invitation to attend.
  • ・Your thoughts on the Conference and what you learned from the Conference should be provided in an essay no longer than 800 words by Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

Sponsorship notification
  • ・ The Conference Secretariat determines the pairings of the Sponsor and the sponsored student.
  • ・ The results of the selection will be sent via email by Friday, June 29. Applicants who have received a sponsorship must confirm that they accept it via return email by Thursday, July 5.
  • ・ Please note that missing this deadline is considered nonacceptance, and the sponsorship will be awarded to another applicant. As such, please pay close attention to any emails received from the Conference Secretariat after submitting your application.
On the day of Conference and after the Conference
  • ・Please arrive at the venue by 8:45 am on the day of the Conference.
  • ・Those selected will be seated next to their sponsor during the Plenary Session of the Conference, to personally thank their sponsor and get to know them. Commemorative photo will be taken during lunch.
  • ・Around 7:00 pm during the Networking Party, the Matching Sponsorship Program will be introduced. Please join the others on the stage.
  • ・After the Conference, your thoughts on the Conference and what you learned from the Conference should be provided in an essay no longer than 800 words by Tuesday, July 31, 2018.
  • ・Commemorative photographs and photographs of the event will be taken on the day of the Conference and used in various publications. The school names and participants’ initials will be used.
  • ・Sponsored students will be registered as members of the “Student Alumni” after the Conference and will be invited to attend student networking events planned once a year.
